ABOUT ME
Passionate about aerospace, my journey has been a dynamic exploration of my childhood fascination with aircraft and space. From “plane gazing” with my grandfather to delving into the intricacies of aerodynamics, I’ve always been captivated by the marvel of machinery defying gravity.
Embarking on my aerospace engineering journey in mid-2020, I initially juggled three jobs to fund my university fees. This hustle not only instilled effective time management but is a testament to my hard work and enthusiasm towards chasing my dreams.
However, in 2021 a pivotal moment occurred at the 11th Australian Space Forum, where a conversation with an aircraft maintenance engineer enlightened and reshaped my trajectory.
Recognising the unique path to my aspirations and realising that my passion lay not just in designing and manufacturing aero vehicles but also in hands-on maintenance, I made the tough and bold decision to defer my aerospace engineering studies and relocate interstate to pursue an Aircraft Maintenance Engineering qualification. The hands-on experience and in-depth knowledge gained in maintaining and troubleshooting aircraft systems have been invaluable. Now, proudly equipped with my qualification, I am poised to take on the next challenge: obtaining my license.
Beyond the hangar, I remain an enthusiastic and inquisitive learner and an advocate for aerospace innovation. My goal is to seamlessly integrate my aircraft maintenance experience with the creative process of designing and manufacturing aircraft and/or rocketry. I am excited about the prospect of bringing a unique perspective to the aerospace industry, combining hands-on technical skills with a visionary approach marking a crucial step towards my goals.
Join me on this exciting journey as I navigate the skies, combining my passion for aerospace, fueled by the belief that the best way to design is to understand every “nut and bolt” that keeps machinery soaring.
